I never miss a chance to sing the praises of Travel Guard. On a fall 2023 trip to London, my 75-year-old husband became critically ill with what the hospital told us was encephalitis. I called Travel Guard immediately, and those heroes there were then right by my side throughout the horrible experience. Someone called me every day to check on how I was doing, stayed in contact with the doctors (not easy because they kept going on strike) and when my husband was well enough to fly home, Travel Guard helped arrange all our flights back to East Tennessee in business class. Travel Guard went to bat for me with the British doctors who didn’t want to let us leave after three weeks, but they finally released us. The nicest young man drove us to Heathrow and went above and beyond to help me navigate that huge airport and get my husband (still not walking) a wheelchair. He didn’t have to do that, but he did. David, the Travel Guard driver who met us in Nashville to take us the 200 miles home to near Knoxville, was a prince of a person, so kind and caring. I get teary just thinking about it. Travel Guard absolutely does what they say they will do, and they do it with empathy. I think I must have personally sold a dozen policies since this experience! Husband is now fine, but I’m not sure he would even be here without Travel Guard. I take every opportunity to thank you.

On day three of my trip to Maui, I was hit by a rogue wave that broke my collarbone and four ribs. My husband and I were packed and ready to travel to Australia and New Zealand a few years ago. A few days before our scheduled departure, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
