Pre-departure coverages
These coverages begin the day after you purchase your Travel Guard travel insurance plan and continue until your trip starts. They can help protect your travel investment if plans change before you leave.
If you must cancel your trip for a covered reason, this coverage may reimburse eligible prepaid, non-refundable trip costs.

Single Occupancy
If the person sharing your accommodations can no longer travel for a covered reason and you continue with your trip, this coverage may reimburse your eligible additional accommodation costs.

If your trip is delayed for a covered reason, such as severe weather or a strike, this coverage may reimburse eligible expenses, including meals, local transportation or overnight accommodations. The minimum delay length varies by plan.

If you miss a scheduled departure because of a covered common carrier delay or severe weather, this coverage may reimburse eligible transportation expenses and covered costs for prepaid travel arrangements you missed.

Family Coverage
One child aged 17 or younger may be included in the plan cost per each insured adult when the child is related to and traveling with the primary adult listed on the policy. The child's trip cost must be equal to or less than the insured adult's trip cost. This feature does not apply to optional coverages.
