Pre-Departure Coverages
Did you know that certain coverages start before you even leave for your trip? The day after you purchase your travel insurance plan, your pre-departure coverage begins. Help protect your travel investment from the start with these valuable coverages.
Trip Cancellation
May reimburse nonrefundable, unused payments or deposits if you must cancel your Trip due to an illness, Injury, or death of you, a Family Member, Traveling Companion or Business Partner, or for other covered reasons.

Trip Exchange
Reimburses eligible costs to move your Trip to a future date instead of canceling completely, for a covered reason.

If you’re required to leave early due to inclement weather, this may reimburse covered expenses up to the original, scheduled Departure Date.

Post-Departure Coverages
On your scheduled Departure Date, your post-departure coverages go into effect and begin helping to protect your travel investment. Travel with more confidence knowing you have comprehensive travel insurance coverages as part of your Travel Guard travel insurance plan.
Trip Interruption
May reimburse nonrefundable, unused payments or deposits if you must interrupt your Trip due to an illness, Injury, or death of you, a Family Member, Traveling Companion or Business Partner, or for other covered reasons.

Trip Interruption – Return Transportation Only
May reimburse the additional transportation expenses incurred by you to reach the return destination if your Trip is interrupted by certain Unforeseen events.

Single Occupancy
If a person sharing accommodations with the Insured cancels for a covered unforeseen event, and the Insured does not, and as a result the Insured must pay more to be on the Trip (e.g. single supplement charge for a cruise cabin) this coverage may reimburse that cost.

Trip Delay
May reimburse for certain expenses (which may include hotel, taxi or meals.) if you are delayed due to Inclement Weather, Strike, or other covered reasons. (The length of the delay varies by plan.)

Missed Connection
If you miss a departure due to delay by Common Carrier or Inclement Weather, Missed Connection may reimburse you for additional transportation costs and covered Cancellation Penalties for missed portions of the trip. (Does not apply if you do not leave adequate time between connecting flights.)

Travel Inconvenience Benefits
Provides a flat payment if you experience certain documented inconveniences on your Trip, such as a closed attraction, flight delay, runway delay, cruise diversion.

One Child age 17 and under, who is booked to travel with and is related to the primary adult named on the enrollment form, is included in the rates for each paying adult. (Offer does not apply to optional coverages. The Child’s Trip Cost must be equal to or less than the adult traveler(s) Trip Cost).
