“I never leave home without Travel Guard.”
I travel - a lot. And, I never leave home without Travel Guard. I cannot remember what originally compelled me to get into the habit of purchasing travel insurance; maybe my advancing age, or some other factor, but about ten years ago I began adding an insurance policy to my travel folder. I tried my airline's 'built in' option, but found it cumbersome on a lost luggage claim; and switched to industry leader Travel Guard for subsequent trips. It's a good thing I had my Travel Guard policy in place for a long ago "siblings trip"; which featured a week on Mexico's Pacific Ocean coast.
The day before the trip my sister suffered a burst appendix -- while still at her home in Seattle. Her condition was grave. My brother and I didn't dare leave town, choosing to stay, instead, hovering in the critical care unit of the local hospital. Obviously we had to cancel our trip. A number of our vacation 'features' and accommodations were non-refundable.
I submitted a claim for our lost expenses, and Travel Guard reimbursed us for our covered vacation expenses quickly. I’ll never forget how much Travel Guard eased this element of stress in that moment.
Medical emergencies can happen unexpectedly -- and in any locale -- whether you're a "Boomer" or not! Travel Guard, with its amazingly easy online purchase platform and experienced customer care team, gives me so much "leave home" confidence.
