With this waiver it’s possible to be covered for some medical issues on your Trip, despite your pre-existing condition. The Company will waive the pre-existing medical condition exclusion if the following conditions are met:
Reimburses up to the Maximum Limit shown on the Schedule of Benefits if you cancel your Trip for any reason, not otherwise covered under the travel insurance plan, up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure.
Removes the exclusions for adventure and extreme activities from all benefits on the travel insurance plan.
Include one person to be deemed as a Family Member for the purpose of Family Member-related Unforeseen event coverage.
Increases base travel insurance plan medical expense and medical evacuation benefit limits. On the Preferred Plan, also adds hospital of choice and additional evacuation benefits. Review your travel insurance plan for coverage details.
Payment for closed attractions, rental home lockout, credit/debit card cancellation, Hotel infestation, Hotel construction and more.
Baggage coverage becomes Primary with increased benefit limits for Baggage Coverage and Baggage Delay.
Coverage for boarding, and a medical expense coverage for illness or Injury of dog or cat while traveling. Includes coverage for Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption if your Pet is in critical condition or dies within seven days prior to the Departure Date.

Travel Guard provides assistance through coordination, negotiation, and consultation using an extensive network of worldwide partners. 24-hour hotline to make emergency travel changes such as rebooking flights, hotel reservations, tracking lost luggage and more.
A menu of services available for emergency medical requests including prescription replacement assistance, Physician referrals, medical evacuations, and more.
Assistance with any travel emergency or request for general travel information including lost, stolen or delayed Baggage; replacing lost passport or travel documents; emergency cash transfers; pre-Trip travel advice; inoculation information; and more.
Call on your own personal assistant to help. Services include tee time reservations, restaurant referrals and reservations, wireless device assistance, sporting or theater tickets, and more. If you need it, we’ll find it for you.
If personal information is stolen, emergency travel counselors will assist in contacting credit card companies, monitoring credit reports and working with local authorities to help with identity restoration. (Not available to NY residents)
