Your travel insurance basics

Travel Guard® Travel Insurance is a travel insurance product that helps protect you in the event of certain unexpected events during your trip, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy, and includes coverage for medical expenses, personal accidents, travel inconvenience, and valuable assistance services.

Travel Insurance cover is offered by Travel Guard, available only to residents of the U.S. states and the District of Columbia.  Limitations and exclusions will apply.

Singapore Airlines passengers who are residents of the United States or the District of Columbia, travelling out of the United States with trips not exceeding 180 days will be able to purchase this policy

Your travel insurance benefits

For all plans, cancellation coverage begins on the date your policy is issued. Cover for all other sections begins when you leave your home or place of departure to start your trip and ends when you return home or until the end of the period of insurance shown as the return date on the policy documents, whichever is sooner.

You can still add travel insurance to your itinerary if you have a pre-existing condition however it is important to note that your pre-existing medical condition(s) may not be covered and you are not able to apply to have such pre-existing medical condition(s) covered.  Please review the terms and conditions of the policy for details.

The policy can be purchased to cover any overseas trip undertaken on a flight operated by Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, or their code share partners if you purchased the ticket from Singapore Airlines or through an authorized agent of Singapore Airlines.

Your COVID-19 coverage

Full terms, conditions and exclusions can be found in the Terms and Conditions.

  • Up to $150,000 for roundtrip Travel Medical Expenses ($10,000 for NY Residents), if you contract COVID-19 while on a trip, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.
  • Up to your trip cost to a maximum of $100,000 for Trip Cancellation, if you contract COVID-19 and must cancel your trip, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.
  • Up to your trip cost to a maximum of $100,000 for Trip Interruption, if you contract COVID-19 while on a trip and cannot continue the trip, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.
