By purchasing a travel insurance plan, you can insure yourself for trip cancellation/interruption due to covered reasons, medical expense and more, as well as gain access to a wide range of traveler's assistance services.

The insurance plan costs 7% of your trip cost.

The benefits for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption and Single Occupancy are the total per booking. All other coverages are per person. Rental Vehicle Damage Coverage is per car coverage.

An added value offered with this insurance plan is the 24-Hour Emergency Assistance Services. Travel Guard is a leader in this field. With Travel Guard, you have access to the services of a highly trained, multi-lingual staff around the clock to assist you with emergencies such as: cash transfers, lost documents, baggage tracking medical or legal monitoring, physician referrals, flight rebooking, and roadside assistance. They are also equipped to respond in many unexpected circumstances. If an emergency should arise during your trip, call Travel Guard immediately and give the details of your problem or emergency.

Yes, there is an exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions. However, the pre-existing medical condition exclusion is waived if you purchase the insurance within 21 days of your initial trip payment and are medically able to travel at the time of purchase. Some exclusions may apply such as mental or psychological disorders. Please review the Policy of Insurance for additional details.

A pre-existing medical condition is one that was first diagnosed, had a change in diagnosis, or required a change in medication, during a certain time period immediately preceding and including the effective date of the travel insurance plan. For All Seasons Travel Plan Beach, the time period is 60 days.

The family member definition includes spouse, child, parent, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, daughter/son-in-law, brother/sister-in-law, step-child/sister/brother/parent, parent-in-law, civil union partner, domestic partner, step-grandparent/grandchild, aunt, uncle, step-aunt/uncle, niece, nephew, legal guardian, caregiver, foster child, ward, or legal ward; and the spouse, civil union partner, or domestic partner of any of the above.

The Business Partner definition means a person who: (1) is involved with the insured or the insured’s traveling companion in a legal partnership; and (2) is actively involved in the daily management of the business.

The Service Animal definition means any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including, but not limited to, guiding persons with impaired vision, alerting persons with impaired hearing to intruders or sounds, providing animal protection or rescue work, pulling a wheelchair, or fetching dropped items. A travel insurance plan provides a wide range of travel benefits. You should review your existing coverage to determine what coverage you may have. For example, some health insurance plans may not pay for medical expenses incurred outside of the United States (e.g., Medicare, certain HMO's, etc.) Plus, the emergency medical expense coverage is primary. Yes, this plan includes trip cancellation/interruption coverage, for the Insured or Traveling Companion, due to involuntary termination or layoff, through no fault of your own. Please consult the Policy of Insurance for complete details.

Coverage due to named hurricanes is based on when you purchase your plan and the date the tropical storm is upgraded to a hurricane. Please consult the Policy of Insurance for complete details. Coverage may vary based on state of residence.

Yes, the plan includes coverage for Inclement Weather causing delay or cancellation of travel; the insured's primary residence being made uninhabitable by natural disaster, vandalism or burglary; or destination being made uninhabitable by flood (due to natural causes), tsunami, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, mudslide, avalanche, landslide, volcanic eruption, sandstorm, sinkhole, wildfire or blizzard. Vandalism, or burglary are covered reasons for cancellation or trip interruption.

If you decline the travel insurance plan when paying your initial deposit, you can still purchase the plan either 30 days prior to arrival or by final trip payment, whichever comes first.

If you’ve already paid your final payment and now want to add the travel insurance plan, you can do so by calling Travel Guard at 877.249.5376. Make sure you mention your lodging providers name so one of our representatives can assist you. They will need you to provide trip details like your check-in and check-out date, date you paid your initial deposit, and your total trip cost.

Making a last minute reservation? You can still include the travel insurance plan on your booking! Make sure you notify your lodging provider that you want to include the travel insurance plan on your booking at the time you make your reservation.

You can purchase a policy by calling Travel Guard at 1.877.249.5376 no later than 30 days prior to arrival or by final trip payment.
