Climate:

Venezuela has a wet and dry season, with the wet season occurring May until October. The country’s climate varies by altitude, and gets cooler in higher elevations. The four climatic regions are tropical, subtropical, temperate, and cold. The tropical region’s mean annual temperatures can be anywhere from 75 to 9° F. Caracas is in the subtropical region and has temperatures ranging from 50 to 77° F. In the higher elevations there are some peaks where snow is usually present.

Calling Internationally:

To call Venezuela from the United States, dial the international prefix, 011; then Venezuela’s country code, 58; and then the three digit area code, then dial the actual phone number.

Electricity:

Electricity in Venezuela is 120 Volts, alternating at 60 cycles per second. If you travel to Venezuela with a device that does not accept 120 Volts at 60 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter. Outlets in Venezuela generally accept a flat blade plug or two parallel flat pins with ground pin. If your plug has a different shape, you may need a plug adapter.
