Let the wine flow in Bordeaux

The Bordeaux region of France is world famous for producing some of the best wines in the world. Any true wine connoisseurs who plan on European travel this summer should definitely make Bordeaux one of the stops on their trip.
There are a host of vineyards and chateaus surrounding the city, as Bordeaux is the second-largest wine-producing region in the world. Most of these offer tours and tastings. In addition, many of these places supply restaurants and bars inside the city. L'Autre Petit Bois, which is designed to look like a forest, is a great place to enjoy a few bottles.
According to the New York Times, the Harborside district has recently been revitalized. This area was formerly home to a docks and warehouses, but now boasts a number of trendy restaurants and art galleries. It might be a good place to pair wine with some amazing food.
Apart from food and drink, there is a wealth of history and architecture to take in. On the shores of the Garonne river, travelers should be sure to visit the Colbert battleship and see the Aquitane Bridge. They might also want to get a sense of the history under Roman occupation by stopping by the Victory Arch further inland.
