• Norwegian Epic named best cruise for entertainment

It can be difficult to choose which cruise line to go with when planning such an exciting vacation. Travelers who are looking for the best in on-board amusement should look towards Norwegian, whose Epic vessel was recently named in an online poll as the best for entertainment.

USA Today recently polled nearly 10,000 readers of its Cruise Log to determine the winner of the Cruise Ship Entertainment Smackdown. Norwegian Cruise Line's Epic ship emerged victorious with about half of the votes favoring the massive watercraft.

With a capacity for more than 4,000 passengers, everyone has the chance to enjoy all of the exciting offerings of the company's largest ship. Some of the best highlights include the Blue Man Group, who are icons on the Las Vegas Strip, and the Cirque Dreams & Dinner spectacular. The latter show is a circus-themed event where guests can see aerialists, acrobats, contortionists and more move around to impressive choreography while they enjoy a delicious dinner.

Other cruise ships in the running included the Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas, as well as the Disney Cruise Line's new vessel, Dream.
