• Hotel amenities that are amazingly indulgent

Sometimes travelers simply wish to throw caution to the wind and plan a luxurious getaway to a new and fascinating locale. When booking accommodations, many wish to get the most bang for their buck and expect lavish amenities to come with a big price tag. CNN reports on some over-the-top amenities that some hotels offer their elite clientele around the world.

In London's Lanesborough hotel, guests can call upon an official tea sommelier to create the perfect cup of English style brew, such as a blend with cornflower blossoms, rosebuds and jasmine.

Most hotels offer soap and shampoo, but at the Viceroy Riviera Maya, a professional will provide soaps to suit an individual's mood and all varieties are homemade by local craftsmen and women, a perfect perk for Mexico travel trips.

However, there are some guests who simply wish to bypass all the lavish treats and are looking for straightforward perks to enhance their stay. According to US Magazine, wireless internet is most preferred among hotel patrons when they are looking for complimentary services, alongside convenient parking and a plush mattress. When it comes to high-end amenities, women say they look for designer toiletries, while men hope to head to a high-tech fitness center.
