    Q. How does trip cancellation and interruption coverage apply?
    A. It reimburses for forfeited, non-refundable, unused payments or deposits if the insured must cancel or interrupt their trip due to covered reasons. The interruption benefit may also include coverage for additional transportation expenses.

    Q. Does the Baggage and Personal Effects coverage include all items I may take with me while traveling?
    A. No, there are some items that are not included such as artificial prosthetic devices, false teeth, any type of eyeglasses, sunglasses, contact lenses or hearing aids, tickets, currency, etc.

    Q. What is a pre-existing medical condition?
    A. A pre-existing condition is one that was first diagnosed, had a change in diagnosis, or required a change in medication during a certain time period immediately preceding and including the effective date of the travel insurance coverage. The time period is usually 60, 90, or 180 days depending upon the plan purchased.

    Q. Can we request a refund of the travel insurance plan after purchase?
    A. Travel Guard plans include a Fifteen Day Look where customers may request a refund in writing to refund@travelguard.com within 15 days of the purchase date or prior to departure, whichever happens first. The customer will receive a refund of the plan cost excluding any service fees.

    Q. How do I file a claim?
    A. Call us, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A representative will review and complete a claim form for you and explain what needs to be provided in order to pay your claim. The form will then be faxed or mailed to you for signature and to provide the appropriate documents.

Non insurance services are provided by Travel Guard. 
This plan provides insurance coverage that only applies during the covered trip.
You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this policy with your existing life, health, home, and automobile insurance policies.
