• Become a part of your favorite TV shows

Television fans have the opportunity to explore cities featured in some of the most popular shows, whether they're visiting Seattle because of their favorite doctors from "Grey's Anatomy," or trying to become closer to characters on "New Girl" by traveling to L.A. Individuals interested in United States travel can explore a number of the country's top cities in which their favorite shows take place. While travelers are not likely to run into their favorite fictional people, they can still enjoy the number of monuments and attractions found within these areas.

    Explore D.C. landmarks from "Scandal"
This thrilling drama takes place in Washington, D.C., and follows political fixer Olivia Pope as she traverses through some of the city's most famous sights. Tourists who have a soft spot for "Scandal" should first visit the White House, home of a large majority of the film's most tense scenes. While travelers will not be allowed access to the Oval Office like Pope, they can still purchase tours of the historic property, learning about the history of the leaders of the great nation. Other well-known D.C. monuments that are frequently shown on the program include the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon, both of which also allow for visitors to embark on tours.

Discover "True Blood" inspired Louisiana spots
Although Bon Temps may be a fictional town, "True Blood" lovers can still experience genuine Louisiana travel centered upon this fantasy show. For travelers who appreciate the supernatural element, consider any number of the state's haunted attractions, from the Old State Capitol Building in Baton Rouge to the LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans. Jaunted recommends travelers visit the Oakland Cemetery in Shreveport, the town which, in the show, is home to one of the town's most famous vampires, Eric Northman.

"Nashville" filming locations that tourists can visit
The television show "Nashville" boasts that a large majority of its filming takes place in the title city, from recording singing hopefuls on Broadway to featuring scenes on the waterfront. The Bluebird Cafe is one of the more well-known attractions made famous by the show, as it has been the bar where most characters have both visited and performed. Producers from this show frequently film scenes at one of the city's colleges, Belmont University. While the property is never explicitly mentioned by people on the television, it is a popular filming location, with its abundant flower fields and plethora of historic buildings providing an ideal backdrop for shooting.
