Just wanted to write and say how grateful I am to Travel Guard for the incredible service I received. I was flying to a photography workshop in Florence, Italy. But, during a layover in Amsterdam, I became very ill and had to be taken to a hospital for a week. My luggage went on to Florence without me and your staff was able to track it down and get it returned to Mobile, AL. Travel Guard hired a Dutch EMT to escort me home, and I am extremely grateful for that service as he made it possible for me to avoid long customs lines and made a long flight safer and much easier given that I was very weak.

How can travel insurance cover my vacation investment in the event of severe winter weather?In the event of a severe winter storm that causes the cancellation or delay of travel at your point of departure, travel insurance provides coverage under the Trip Cancellation and Interruption benefit. If your trip is cancelled for a covered reason, we will refund the pre-paid, forfeited, non-refundable trip costs trip up to the limit of coverage.
How else can travel insurance help me when my flight is cancelled or delayed due to winter storms?Most insurance plans available through Travel Guard come with valuable assistance services. This means if your flight is delayed or cancelled due to severe winter weather, we will work with the airlines on your behalf to book a new flight and get you where you need to be.
If a severe winter weather warning or watch is issued that may impact my travel plans, up to what point can I still purchase travel insurance?Insurance must be purchased 24 hours prior to when the severe winter storm warning or watch is issued. Once the severe winter weather warning or watch has been forecast, Trip Cancellation and Interruption losses resulting from the winter storm are excluded from the coverage of the policy.
