    Travel Protection Plan: How to File a Claim

    Baggage / Personal Effects

    Baggage coverage is offered for domestic and international air travel, as well as Vacation Packages. Baggage delay is applicable when your checked bag is delayed by the airline for more than 24-hours from the time you arrived at the destination stated on your ticket.

    Actions you should take
    Report the loss, theft or damage to the appropriate authorities.
    • Keep copy of airline lost baggage form or police report to submit with claim.
    Purchase necessary articles and personal effects.
    • Keep all receipts to submit with claim.
    Call Travel Guard as soon as travel is complete to file a claim. Include:
    • Airline lost baggage form or police report.
    • Proof of purchase of items, such as receipts.
    • Response from homeowner's or renter's insurance regarding loss.
