Saudi Arabia Climate: The best time to visit the entire country is during April and May and during October and November, when day temperatures are generally moderate and nights are cool. December-March the day temperatures are fine, although it can be very cold in mountain areas. Summers can be extremely hot (up to 130 F/55 C in some areas) and surprisingly humid (because of the sea) or very dry (because of inland winds). Coastal cities are warm-to-hot year-round and are more humid than inland areas. Temperatures are cooler where there's a rise in elevation (inland, it goes as high as 9,000 ft/2,750 m). Sandstorms can blow almost anywhere in the country, some lasting for days. A sweater or jacket will be useful for evenings year-round.
