What to do in Thailand

A vacation to Thailand would not be complete without visits to several essential destinations.
One such destination may be a golf course, as the sport is among the most popular in Thailand and the country offers visitors over 200 courses, with many of them championship standard, AOL Travel reports. Thailand is reportedly among the best places for golf enthusiasts in Asia, with many of the challenging courses having been laid out by top designers.
The jungle is another essential place to visit, especially on the back of an elephant. Such jungle tours are very common in Thailand, and the elephants are trained to be docile and comfortable with tourists. Some are even reportedly trained to perform tricks for visitors. Elephant rides can cater to many schedules and budgets, ranging in time from a short half-hour ride to a weekend-long trek through the jungle. Longer elephant rides are often combined with rafting or biking trips for a complete adventure travel experience.
Travelers that want to experience Thai culture firsthand even have the option of staying with one of the many hill tribes found primarily in the north of the country. Many tribes are used to tourist contact, and some even allow travelers to stay in their homes overnight during prolonged treks through the country.
