    Located downtown, the 25-acre facility is one of the most popular places to visit in Alaska, as it is contains more than 100 birds and mammals. Guests will get to view animals, such as the Siberian Tiger, Amur tigers, Bactrian camels, yaks, musk oxen, wolves, otters, seals, caribou and much more.

    After visiting the zoo, travelers can head to the Chugach State Park, which is the one of the biggest U.S. state parks. Here, tourists will have the opportunity to explore beautiful mountains, rivers and woods.

    The park offers several miles of hiking paths, satisfying any active vacationer. One of the most popular treks is to Flattop Mountain - a thrilling 1.5-mile hike. Once tourists make it to the top they will be rewarded with an amazing view of nearby Alaskan cities.
