• Visit London and sample some unique treats

    2012-03-05

Sometimes the food one samples while on a trip abroad can make for a memorable experience. If travelers are feeling a little daring while on a Europe travel excursion, they may want to make a stop at the small ice cream store in the Harrod's department store, which features some of the most unusual flavors in the world.

According to Travel and Leisure, Morelli's got its start in the city and has expanded its franchises to other metropolises, including Monaco, Kuwait and Dubai.

This month, the ice creamery's featured flavor is Melon and ginger. If travelers are interested in trying the haggis or other exotic combinations, they may wish to call ahead to find out what's on the menu during their visit.

There are countless places to sample some fine cuisine throughout London that may not be as strange but can be just as delicious. One place to grab a great meal is St. John's, known for its traditional dishes and classic decor, reports The New York Times. Some items on the menu include homemade roast beef and pig's cheek with fresh greens.
