    2011-05-06

Many people like to remain active during their travels, sometimes opting for nature vacations that allow them to be outdoors as much as possible.

Those who are looking for a heart-pounding time on Vancouver Island may want to consider taking the Sunshine Coast Trail, which is copied off of the famed Milford Track in New Zealand, according to the Vancouver Sun.

The news provider reports that people who decide to trek the path will not have to worry about accommodations, as there are a number of cabins available where vacationers can sit down and relax during their journeys and take in the view.

The trail is 180 kilometers that begins at the Desolation Sound in the north and ends at the southern point of Saltery Bay.

For those who are interested in making this journey a group activity, there are mountain biking tours available for travelers who enjoy an adventure.

Additionally, the Sunshine Coast features a number of leisurely activities for those who like to relax, including a number of restaurants and golf courses.
