Skier embarks on nine-month odyssey

While 29-year-old Stephanie Jagger was on her way to the top of Whistler Blackcomb on a skilift with some friends, she began talking about what she would do if she didn't have responsibilities.
"We were all just joking around and I said how cool it would be to ski around the world. We laughed it off and then I saw a sign that said 'raise your restraining device,'" she told the Otago Daily Times.
So Jagger did exactly that, taking time off from her job and breaking up with her current boyfriend in order to embark on a personal ski quest that will span nine months and five continents. Jagger has already hit the slopes in South America and New Zealand as she waits for snow to fall in the northern countries. Next on her itinerary is a little sun in Bali before planned stops in Japan, India, the European Alps and the U.S.
"The biggest thing driving me forward is a passion for skiing and a passion for travelling. I thought I would combine the two things I love," she told the news source.
The Canadian native has been skiing all her life, but was typically the "weekend warrior" type. Now, she's skied some of the top mountains in the world.
Travelers can follow Jagger's progress online and possibly use some of her choices in destination as a basis for their own ski trips.
