Ski season is just around the corner, and travelers who are gearing up for the snowy weather ahead may want to check out Vail, Colorado. Not only does this area have some incredible snowsport resorts, it also hosts a massive music festival in December that can be a perfect event to experience a trip with the girls on a thrilling winter getaway.
Some big names in music will be performing at the event, known as SnowDaze. According to the festival's website, the super group Yukon Kornelius, which is comprised of members from the Dave Matthews Band, Bare Naked Ladies and Guster, will take the stage on Saturday during the show. Participants can enjoy the concerts at night and ski or snowboard all day on the local slopes.
There are many great things to see and do throughout the Vail Valley region that travelers can check out during their stay in Colorado. The state's Ski and Snowboard Museum and Hall of Fame can be the ideal locale to learn about the history of snowsports in this region, reports Fodor's. On display are some exhibits that showcase old equipment and historical items from mountain rescue programs.
