Rugby is a popular sport played across the globe and enjoyed by spectators and players alike. This fall, in the capital city of Kenya, a unique tournament known as the SafariCom Sevens will be taking place, which may provide travelers with an unforgettable vacation experience.
Kenya is not widely known for their rugby, but many who love the game journey to Nairobi every year to witness this sporting spectacle. According to the event’s website, this competition gives Kenya a chance to showcase their athletic talents in front of a large audience of enthusiastic fans and guests to the country. Teams from other parts of Africa and around the world are also invited to be a part of SafariCom Sevens, with squads from Uganda, Rwanda and Argentina taking part in the competition. Various skill levels participate in the games as well, including women’s’ matches and tournaments for school age rugby players.
While in town for the tournament this November, travelers can also explore the other wonderful attractions that can be found throughout Nairobi. According to World Travel Guide, tourists can experience some up close and personal encounters with wildlife at the AFEW Giraffe Centre in town. Observation decks allow visitors to see and admire these stunning creatures as they roam though a massive nature reserve.
