Sayulita: A small beachside village in Mexico
2010-08-30
Mexico has plenty of popular vacation destinations, whether it's Tijuana, Mexico City, Cozumel or Cancun. And while these places all have their charms, most wouldn't describe them as relaxing, since even the more exclusive resorts are usually packed with vacationers.
Yet Mexican travel doesn't have to be all about beating the crowds. The country is vast, with many different villages and adventures just waiting to be discovered. According to the Dallas Morning News, the small beachside village of Sayulita is one such place.
The news source recommends Sayulita as a nice choice for a family vacation, especially if the family is interested in a bit of adventure. Sayulita is a great jumping off point for a jungle expedition, with plenty of natural forest located just inland.
The real appeal of Sayulita, however, is the water. The village is a short distance away from a number of fantastic snorkeling spots. The beach area is also recommended as a nice spot to learn to surf.
There are plenty of affordable villas to rent right on the beach, making Sayulita an inspired choice for a family looking to get away.
