Ravello at Lake Las Vegas to open at former Ritz-Carlton property
2011-01-10
Those who were sad to see the Ritz-Carlton in Las Vegas close its doors last May can rejoice. A new hotel has taken its place, keeping much of its old design and offering guestrooms for a fraction of the luxury cost.
On February 11, Dolce Hotels and Resorts' Ravella at Lake Las Vegas will open to the public in place of the former Ritz-Carlton. Although it will be operating with a new owner, travelers who have stayed at the property in the past will recognize the Mediterranean interior design that belonged to its predecessor, reports USA Today.
"Ravella will be an outstanding addition to Lake Las Vegas and we're excited to introduce the Dolce brand to Vegas this February," sad the president and chief executive officer of Dolce, Steven A. Rudnitsky, in a press release. "Our resort will offer guests luxury experiences at affordable price points, whether they are traveling for business or pleasure."
The Mediterranean style of the building was kept in place to keep in line with the new hotel's inspiration, the town of Ravello in Italy.
