Travelers who have been on New Zealand travel expeditions know that the country offers tons of exploration opportunities for those who take the time to head into some of the more natural regions. Yet why should travelers walk around these scenic vistas when they can ride?
There are a number of tour companies in New Zealand that offer travelers the opportunity to explore the country on horseback. The New Zealand Herald recently hired a few that will take travelers through some unforgettable and exotic locales.
Wild West Trekkin' in Waiuku, just outside of Auckland, offers travelers a chance to ride through a working farm before coming to a black sand beach with a beautiful view. Another company in the area, the Muriwai Beach Riding Centre, also offers black sand beach rides in addition to treks into an exotic forest.
Travelers who want slightly longer trips may want to check out Pakiri Beach Horse Rides. While most trips will span several hours, Pakiri Beach actually has several expeditions that extend overnight. The Pakiri area is known for its expansive dunes and varied terrain that includes plenty of scenic lakes and forests.
Whatever they choose, travelers looking for a horse riding vacation will have plenty of options in New Zealand.
