    2012-03-14

Music is a universal language that travelers can enjoy no matter where they decide to roam. If women are looking to have an amazing experience while abroad they can consider heading to Austria with the girls this spring for the annual Snowbombing festival. This massive music gathering features top artists from across the globe that can be seen surrounded by the amazing snowy mountains of the Alps.

Located in the town Mayrhofen, this event focuses on trendy bands and some fantastic snow conditions, so guests may listen to the acts then strap on their skis all in the same locale. According to the festival's website, Snowbombing has been in mainstream for more than a decade{what does this mean?} and revamps its style every year by offering the trendiest beats paired with the best skiing and snowboarding around.

The tunes are only part of the ambiance that travelers can experience during Snowbombing. In the past, there have been dance parties held in giant igloos, and impromptu fashion shows where guests may show off their elaborate costumes. Some of the wilder bands may ensure their own mayhem as well by organizing pie fights, or asking everyone in the audience to dance as crazily as they can to the beat.

However, when it is time to simply admire the musical prowess of the bands and artists, there are 10 different stages to check out during the festival. Those who attend may catch a popular DJ spin the hottest tracks, or see artists play live acoustic sets for a more mellow crowd.

This year, some of the artists that will grace the stage include Example, Fatboy Slim, DJ Shadow and Booka Shade. There are dozens of shows to choose from during the event, so attendees will surely hear some amazing music from old favorites and up-and-coming acts.

According to Cultivora, tickets are on sale and tend to go quickly, so travelers who wish to attend may wish to make their plans soon. The festival occurs from April 9th to the 14th, and packages can be purchased for snow sport passes, accommodations and admittance to the shows. This could be a memorable experience to have this spring while still enjoying the wintry conditions of these mountainous peaks during an adventurous European travel trip.
