Have a relaxing day at the Louvre
2011-03-21
Many travelers will be heading to Paris this summer and one of the first places they may want to visit is the iconic Louvre Museum. The 645,000-square-foot facility is the most popular museum in the world - and rightfully so. The building itself is a wonder to look at and vacationers can spend an entire day exploring the grounds, both inside and outside.
Located in Paris' beautiful central Right Bank district, travelers will have the opportunity to admire some of the most famous pieces of art ever created, such Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa," the "Venus de Milo" and Delacroix's "Liberty Leading the People."
After spending a few hours leisurely walking through the museum's stunning halls and galleries, guests can head outside and take a load off, as vacationers are allowed to sit along the Louvre's breathtaking fountains.
If it's a nice day, travelers can bring a good book and dip their feet into the cool waters and spend the rest of the day melting their cares away in the warm French sun. Vacationers can sunbathe around the fountains and even take a nap. In addition, they can bring a lunch and have a small picnic with their travel buddies.
