Travelers who have journeyed to many different cities know that there are regional delicacies that can be found at wonderful restaurants across the globe. However, what some may not know is that Paris has some incredible establishments to indulge in fresh and tasty oysters. Those planning a European vacation to this iconic city should not miss some of its best seafood spots.
To see a master shucker at work, travelers can head to L'Huitrier, reports Fodor's. Fransisco Pires won a national competition for his skills and can be seen in action during the busy lunch hour. The Huiterie Regis is another wonderful selection for fresh oysters paired with some local and international white wines. Guests may also select from their small seafood menu that includes sea urchins, clams and shrimp.
Paris is not the only city that boasts some great places to eat oysters. According to Travel and Leisure, San Francisco has a great hot-spot called the Swan Oyster depot that serves up these delectable shellfish alongside great homemade clam chowder and fresh cocktail sauce.
