Experience Sonoma Valley, California, this fall
2011-10-19
A wonderful way to connect with loved ones is by taking a group getaway to an exciting destination. Travelers who are planning their next vacation may wish to visit Sonoma Valley, California. This region is ideal for baby boomers who are fans of rich wines, or women looking to take a relaxing trip with the girls.
For a lovely afternoon spent outside, visitors may first want to head to BR Cohn vineyards. According to Lonely Planet, this complex is owned by Doobie Brothers band member Bruce Cohn, who has since gone into the olive oil and wine business. Every November, guests are encouraged to participate in a fun benefit concert on-site.
Although purchasing wines from the vineyards themselves are great, keeping an eye out for roadside shops may be a better bet when looking for wallet-friendly varieties. The value of these finds, though, does not deter from their taste, especially since many were created from wineries only a short distance away.
One of the more unique vineyards to encounter is the Bella Wine caves, reports Frommer’s. Guests may relax and sample wines in these casual underground caverns and be waited on by wine professionals for a very small fee.
