Savvy travelers know that technological devices are virtually essential to having a stress-free vacation, but what about during the planning process? Continental Airlines has travelers' needs covered with its new mobile application, available on the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
According to a review by the Associated Press, the app can be compared to a business class seat.
"It's better than economy, but not snazzy enough to merit first class," said the news source.
The airline has developed the app to aid with all customers' basic travel needs. Users are able to book flights, check a flight's status, check in at the airport and download an airport map. Frequent fliers are also able to manage their accounts with the program.
Other features include sudoku games, a live feed that captures all of Continental's Twitter updates, DirecTV listings and a currency converter.
"Our app was designed to give Continental customers easy access to their Continental travel information," Jared Miller, managing director of self-service and emerging technology for the airline, told the news source. "The current maps provide utility in helping travelers navigate the airport."
