When travelers begin to plan their upcoming cruise, they may want to try a new and unique destination outside the standard ports of call. One projected hotspot that is slated to be popular for cruisers this winter is Buenos Aires, Argentina. This gorgeous city is full of exciting cultural attractions and wonderful entertainment options that may be ideal for a unforgettable vacation.

Officials from the Buenos Aires tourism board say that cruise passengers in the city will rise more than 21 percent in the upcoming 2011/2012 season. It is estimated that more than 400,000 travelers will be docking in the city next year from the decks of roughly 160 cruise ships.

This capital city offers a little of everything to travelers, from sandy beaches to an eclectic selection of culinary delights. Taking a tango class or spending the evening in a relaxing jazz club are some of the fun activities guests may try while in town. Travelers who want to hit the beach and enjoy some other thrilling attractions on their getaway can head to the lively and friendly city of Buenos Aires for their cruise trip.
