The Travelers’ Protection Plan - Description of Coverage
- The optional travel insurance must be purchased at least 24 hours prior to departure.
- Pre-existing medical condition exclusion is waived if the optional plan is purchased within 15 days of initial trip payment.
- At no additional charge, the plan covers one child age 17 and under traveling with each paying adult named on the enrollment form. Offer does not apply to optional coverages.*
Trip Cancellation - 100% of trip cost
Reimburses up to $100,000 for forfeited, nonrefundable, unused payments or deposits if you must cancel your trip due to a illness, injury, or death of you, a family member, or traveling companion or for other covered reasons. (Reimburses for losses due to pre-existing conditions if the plan is purchased within 15 days of initial trip payment.)
Optional Coverage:
- Cancel for Any Reason (70% of Trip Cost)
- Cost: Multiply Base plan cost by 1.6
Trip Interruption – 150% of trip cost†
Covers you if you interrupt your Trip due to a covered reason.
Trip Interruption - $750 Return Air Only†
Reimburses the additional airline transportation expenses incurred by you to reach the return destination.

Air Only cannot be combined.
Missed Connection - $250
Reimburses you if Inclement Weather or Common Carrier causes cancellation or a delay of regularly scheduled airline flights for three or more hours to your point of departure.
Trip Delay - $750
Reimburses up to $150 a day for Reasonable, Additional Expenses for meals, accommodations, taxi fares, and essential phone calls, if your Trip is delayed for more than 5 hours due to a covered reason.
Baggage Delay - $300
If your Baggage is delayed more than 24 hours, you can be reimbursed for the purchase of Necessary Personal Effects.
Baggage and Personal Effects Loss - $1,000
Reimburses you if your Baggage is lost, stolen, or damaged while on your Trip.
Medical Expense - $25,000
Pays for emergency medical expenses incurred while on a Trip.
Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation of Remains - $500,000
Covers evacuation expenses as directed by a Physician to the nearest adequate medical facility, (home in the event of death or if medically required).
Accidental Death & Dismemberment - $10,000
Pays for loss of life or limb if it occurs within 365 days of an accident during your Trip.
