    Frequently Asked Questions:

    • Q. How do I contact Travel Guard or file a claim?
      A. Call 877-525-2372, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A representative will review and complete a claim form for you and explain what documentation needs to be provided in order to process your claim. The form will then be faxed or mailed to you for signature and to provide the appropriate documents.
    • Q. What is the pre-existing condition waiver and how can I qualify?
      A. Insurance must be purchased by Final Trip Payment for the Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion to be waived. This is applicable to all coverages contained in the plan. You must be medically able to travel when you pay your plan cost. In the event a claim is filed, the injury or illness must be substantiated to our Claims Department.
    • Q. Does everyone need to purchase the insurance?
      A. Our plan is on a per person basis. Each person only needs to cover their own tour arrangements.
    • Q. What are the covered reasons for Trip Cancellation?
      A. Unforeseen events for Trip Cancellations are described in the optional insurance plan's Description of Coverage. Note that Trip Cancellation is not covered with the included insurance plan. 
    • Q. Can you cancel your tour for any reason?
      A. Only certain unforeseen circumstances would be covered if you purchase the optional insurance plan. A list of these circumstances is included in the optional insurance plan's Description of Coverage.
    • Q. What happens if someone not traveling with me becomes ill or passes away? Is this covered?
      A. An illness or death of a family member not traveling with you may be considered a covered reason for Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption (if you have purchased the optional insurance plan). The definition of family member and explanation of coverage is included in the optional insurance plan's Description of Coverage. 
    • Q. When does the coverage begin?
      A. The coverage begins for trip cancellation purposes, at 12:01 am local time at the location of the Insured on the day after the payment is submitted to your tour operator. All other coverages will begin at 12:01 am local time at the location of the Insured on the scheduled trip departure date provided the required payment has been received.
Non insurance services are provided by Travel Guard. 
 
This plan provides insurance coverage that only applies during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of this policy with your existing life, health, home, and automobile insurance policies.
