    Brief Description of Coverage


    We understand that your trip can take a year to save for, but only a second to ruin. While you can't do anything to prevent an unexpected storm from closing the airport, you can do something to help cover your travel investment. The Gold Plan may be purchased to do just that.     Trip Cost: Trip Cancellation
    Reimburses pre-paid, non-refundable trip costs when cancellation is due to a covered reason.

    150% of Trip Cost: Trip Interruption†
    Reimburses pre-paid, non-refundable trip costs when interruption is due to a covered reason. Reimburses for additional transportation costs to join trip or return home.

    $750: Trip Interruption - Return Air Only†
    Reimburses additional transportation costs to join trip or return home due to a covered reason.

    $750: Trip Delay
    Reimburses up to $150 a day for reasonable accommodations for a trip delayed more than 5 hours due to a covered reason.

    $250: Missed Connection
    Reimburses additional transportation costs to join trip due to common carrier delay when delayed by three or more hours.

    $1,000: Baggage & Personal Effects
    Reimburses you when your luggage is lost, stolen or damaged while on your trip.

    $300: Baggage Delay
    Reimburses for the purchase of essential items if your bags are delayed more than 12 hours.

    $25,000: Medical Expense
    Covers necessary medical treatment during trip. Coverage will become primary if the plan is purchased within 15 days of initial trip payment.

    $10,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment
    Pays for loss of life or limb if it occurs within 365 days of an accident during your trip.

    $500,000: Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation of Remains
    Covers evacuation expenses to the nearest adequate medical facility or home when medically required. Also includes repatriation.

    A menu of services available for emergency medical requests, including prescription replacement, physician referrals, medical evacuations, and more.

    LiveTravel® Emergency Assistance*
    Dedicated LiveTravel® counselors available to help with any travel request, including flight or hotel rebookings, rental car reservations, roadside assistance, and more.

    Worldwide Travel Assistance*
    Assistance with any travel emergency or request for general travel information, including lost, stolen or delayed baggage; replacing lost passport or travel documents; assisting with emergency cash transfers; pre-trip travel advice; inoculation information; and more.

    Concierge Services*
    Whatever you need, whenever, wherever you need it, you can call on your own personal assistant to help. Services include tee time reservations, restaurant referrals and reservations, wireless device assistance, sporting or theater tickets, and more. You need it, we'll find it for you.

    Identity Theft Restoration Services*
    If your identity is stolen during your Trip, our emergency travel counselors will assist in contacting your credit card companies, monitoring your credit report and working with local authorities to help you restore your identity.

    Business Assistant*
    You'll also have access to an array of services to help make short work of your business obligations, so you can enjoy your vacation.

    Extra Benefits 

    When purchased within 15 days of initial payment

    • Coverage if a pre-existing medical condition forces you to cancel or interrupt a trip. Applies to the first $30,000 of trip cost per person (limitations apply).
    • Coverage against cruise line, airline, or tour operator default. (Financial Default is not covered for all suppliers.)
    • Missed Connection benefit increases to $500.
    • Flight Guard® coverage up to $50,000.

    Optional Coverages  

    Flight Guard
    Coverage limit up to $500,000 for accidental death or dismemberment that occurs while flying.

    $35,000: Car Rental Collision Coverage
    $35,000 in primary coverage! Covers cost of repairs for physical damage due to covered reasons to a rental car, up to the limit of coverage, for which the car rental contract holds you responsible.

    Emergency Evacuation Upgrade
    A valuable addition to increase your coverage limits. Your Emergency Evacuation benefits will double. Includes Emergency Evacuation to the adequate licensed medical facility of the insured's choice.

    Cancel For Any Reason:
    The insurer will reimburse 50% of prepaid, non-refundable expenses if you cancel your trip for any reason, up to 48 hours prior to your departure. (Can only be purchased at the time the base plan is purchased and within 15 days of initial trip payment. Coverage must be purchased for the full cost of all prepaid, non-refundable trip arrangements.)
