  • A Customer's Story:

Thank you- our team members view you as second to none

"During a recent mission trip to the D.R. Congo, our team was harassed during early morning hours by gunfire from a group of rebels or corrupt military. Uncertainty and fear abounded for a period of 12 to 15 hours. The action caused us to attempt coordination with a rescue organization. Eventually we lost and had to reschedule our transportation arrangements for return to the U.S five days later. Before initiating steps to evacuate, the rescue group required a pre-payment of $200,000. To be brief about an otherwise prolonged and trying experience, Travel Guard determined that payment to the rescue organization could be arranged. After many hours of satellite phone calls and unsuccessful appeals to the U.S. Embassy, the decision to assist by Travel Guard came as a blessing, greatly eased the level of concern by team members and initiated evacuation planning. Thank you- our team members view you as second to none."
