• Unique roller coasters around the country

Roller coasters can be divisive among groups of tourists, as some adventure travel enthusiasts love them while those with fears of heights abhor them. Either way, these fast-moving adventure-park features are frequently visited by thousands of visitors each year. For the travelers who enjoy an adrenaline rush, here are some of the most exciting roller coasters found around the world:

    Expedition GeForce - Hasloch, Germany
This 4,000-foot steel roller coaster is located in the heart of Hasloch, Germany, a little-known town whose main attraction is the park itself. According to Life'd, the roller coaster has been consistently named the best of its kind in Europe. The attraction reaches nearly 75 mph and is the second-tallest roller coaster on the continent.

    Nemesis - Trent, England
According to its website, the Nemesis in Trent, England, was the continent's first inverted roller coaster. This year, the attraction will celebrate its 20th year of operation. The ride boasts reaching a high G-force, four inversions, a top speed that reaches 50 mph, and it sends passengers over rivers. Travel Channel reported that this particular ride takes place partially underground, which means a large majority of the experience occurs in a darkened space. Voyagers are sent through the "Forbidden Valley," which features rivers made of both rock and "blood."

    Bizarro - Agawam, Mass.
This Six Flags attraction claims to be the foil to Superman, boasting all the same powers and capabilities of the Man of Steel but using them for evil purposes. Named as the No. 1 best roller coaster to experience by Life'd, Bizarro reaches 77 mph and sends people through tunnels, mist clouds and through a number of inversions. Additionally, this coaster has an initial drop of 221 feet, which is one of the main draws for adventurous tourists in the area. Featuring loops and twists that resemble Superman's shield, passengers are in for an exhilarating ride.

    El Toro - Jackson, N.J.
Inspired by the Mexican rodeo, El Toro, which literally means "The Bull," sends riders through an exciting, tumultuous journey that resembles being thrown off one of the raging creatures, according to Life'd. The coaster, according to its website, is one of the fastest and tallest wooden attractions in the world. Passengers experience an immediate 176-foot drop at a 76-degree angle, which makes it the steepest in the country and second-steepest in the world.
